Stretching is an important part of elderly and seniors flexibility, and will help offset the effects of the normal decline in the flexibility of your joints. It will also help you remain active and independent. As we age, muscles become shorter and lose their elasticity. Aging can affect the structure of your bones and muscles causing pain and decreased range of motion in the shoulders, spine, and hips. It becomes very important for seniors to maintain range of motion and the ability to move all joints normally with activities during the day. As muscles become shorter and range of motion is decreased, your walking stability may become compromised, which can put you at an increased risk of falling. Walking devices help an individual decrease their fall risk, and by adding a pair of "THREE WHOLE EZ GLIDE WALKER BALLS" to the rear legs of your walker, you can decrease your fall risk even more by allowing your walker to glide smoothly over rough surfaces and decrease walker vibrations. If you would like more information on stretching techniques, please feel free to contact us. We can provide information to assist you.
